Jesus, Light of the World Hands On Activities (4 activities included)

This Advent download is a fun and simple way to partner with families and help them celebrate Advent and prepare for Christmas. This download includes 4 Hands on Activities that focus on the theme of Jesus, the Light of the World.

Use this resource of all-age devotions and activities to create Advent kits that you send home with your families. We have created the devotions and activities for your church. You will need to print the materials, buy the supplies, and create your kits. Everything a family will need to do the activities will be in the kit (aside from normal household supplies like markers and tape).

Scope and Sequence:

• Advent Week 1: Jesus is the Light of the World. There is no darkness in Him. (1 John 1:5, John 1:1-5, Psalm 119:105)
• Advent Week 2: Jesus is the Light of the World. Light reveals. (John 1:9-10, John 14:9, John 8:12, 1 John 4:16-17)
• Advent Week 3: Jesus is the Light of the World. A Light to follow. (Luke 2:32, John 8:12, Matthew 5:14-16)
• Advent Week 4: Jesus is the Light of the World. The Light has come! (Luke 2:1-17, Matthew 25:35)
